Ugly beyond words.

The California Golden Bears looked rusty at best—and horrid at worst—in all three phases of the game against the Washington State Cougars, allowing them to run away with a 56–21 win. If Cal wants to go bowling, we now have to go 2–0 to close the season.

But look at the bright side—those gray unis look nice on the road. It's good to see them again.

Here's your thread for your immediate reactions and to grade the game. I predict a nine-way tie for the Sonny Yikes award with cumulative scores of 0.0!

Is anyone even interested in watching this game?

Boy is this a bad game for the California Golden Bears. Injuries galore have the Bears trailing the Washington State Cougars, 35–14. Hey, I know how much you guys love that "the fourth quarter is ours!" chant!

We need a motivational poster about how it's never too late to change and turn things around.

Missed opportunities—a wide-right field goal and an endzone interception—are keeping the California Golden Bears from staying close with the Washington State Cougars. The Golden Bears are down 28–7. Can we successfully play catch-up in the second half?

The first quarter went WSU's way.

The California Golden Bears defense is struggling as expected, but a lot of it against the Washington State Cougars' newfound ground attack. Couple that with a WSU punt return–touchdown on Cal's first drive and that's a recipe for a 14–0 WSU lead.

Let's get it started—ha. Let's get it started in here.

It's time for the California Golden Bears to face off against the Washington State Cougars, a tall task that becomes taller in the frigid Palouse night. The Bears must secure two wins of three remaining games to earn bowl-eligibility, so let's get to a good start here to coast into a win. That's likely, right?
