The state of Washington will be doing a overhaul of their coaching ranks this offseason. After years of speculation, Mike Leach is finally leaving Pullman.

Leach was arguably the best modern coach in Washington State Cougars football history. The Cougars have gone to bowl games the last five seasons and six of the last seven years, and have only been an Apple Cup victory away from a few Pac-12 North titles and potential Rose Bowl bids. This is a pretty stunning and pivotal moment for a program that seemed to have finally found consistency after some historic lows and decades of malaise. Their next hire will be extremely critical.
On the flip side, Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach will now have the chance to battle in years of Egg Bowls ahead. Huzzah!
From a Bears perspective, Leach finishes his time at Washington State with a 3-5 record against Cal. He will be missed.
