QB Ben Gulbranson (class of 2020) decided to reopen his recruitment and decommit from the California Golden Bears.
After careful consideration, I have determined it is in my best interest to decommit from the University of California Berkeley and reopen my recruitment. Thank you Cal football for the opportunity.

Gulbranson had committed to us back in June. No reasons were given, so maybe this is related to the shuffling of the offensive staff back in late January, maybe he received more interest from other schools, or maybe he just didn’t like the weather here. With Gulbranson announcing his decision yesterday night, that makes two departures in one week for the Bears (along with Jawaun Johnson).
