According to head coach Justin Wilcox, Cal football expects that three seniors will remain with the team for the 2020 season. Defensive ends Luc Bequette and Zeandae Johnson would get to use an extra year of eligibility. Meanwhile, cornerback Josh Drayden is able to redshirt due to the number of games played this season.

Both DE Luc Bequette and DE Zeandae Johnson will use another year of eligibility, and senior CB Josh Drayden will redshirt (4 games played), according to @CalFootball.

Bequette has 19 solo tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble so far this season. Johnson has amassed 12 solo tackles and 2.5 sacks of his own. Drayden has posted nine tackles in limited action. Overall, this is exciting news when looking ahead to the 2020 campaign.
