After our trip to Pullman, we're staying home for the rest of the month! Cal will not leave the state of California until Halloween-time to head up to Corvallis, giving us three weeks to try and earn bowl eligibility at home and at semi-home in Santa Clara.
The Golden Bears will start the odyssey against the Washington Huskies, a team that is similarly 4-1 and trying to answer the question of how good they are. Both teams probably won't have that clear of a picture until afterward regardless of the outcome--that measuring stick will take place the following week when Cal will take on UCLA and Washington heads to Autzen to try and end the streak.
But this week is critical for Cal in order to ensure their pathway to bowl eligibility seem all but inevitable. The Bears do not have many games left on their schedule where they have a chance to be favored, which means they might have to pull out an upset somewhere in their final five.

Weather: Forecasting clear skies, high of 74 degrees, dipping down to 66-69 degrees by the end of the day. Perfect autumn weather for football in Berkeley.
Line: Opened at Washington favored by 2.5 points, has now flipped to Cal favored by 3.5 or 4 points. Unreal movement.
