The Major League Baseball is returning to action tomorrow and with that, comes the return of the Big Four North American team sports. Baseball is first and the New York Yankees and Washington Nationals open the slate of games this weekend with a Thursday Night Opening Day special between Gerrit Cole and Max Scherzer, who met in the World Series (with Cole on the Houston Astros) fewer than 10 months ago.
With the return of professional sports, comes the return of Cal Bears in the pros. Cal sports three players who should see a ton of time during the 60-game shortened season this year in the MLB. Marcus Semien is the known as his next game played will be his 806th career game. He’s on the Oakland Athletics with Mark Canha while Andrew Knapp is on the Philadelphia Phillies.
So, let’s discuss. What are you most looking forward to with baseball’s return?
(Cal also has Trevor Hildenberger in the Boston Red Sox organization and a slew of free agents currently: Tyson Ross, Brandon Morrow, Tony Renda, Michael Brady and Erik Johnson.)
