The Early Signing Day period is Wednesday, December 16, 2020 and the California Golden Bears have some top targets on the board still without a commitment. Here are the top remaining players on the big board for Cal, and any other information regarding their commitment ahead of the Early Signing Day period.

RB Byron Cardwell

Cal is expected to stay heavy in the race for Cardwell’s services up until his final commitment, which we know is scheduled for January 25, 2021. The No. 8 running back in this class is also considering UCLA and Oregon alongside Cal.

OLB Yanni Karlaftis

Karlaftis is considered a Purdue lean, and would go on to join his older brother with the Boilermakers. Cal, however, still has an outside shot at securing the pass-rusher’s services, as does Oregon and Wisconsin among others.

ATH Titus Mokiao-Atimalala

A lean towards USC, Mokiao-Atimalala is the state of Hawaii’s No. 3 ranked prospect on the 247Sports Composite. In the mold of current Seattle Seahawks WR John Ursua, he is considering several Pac-12 schools but the lone prediction has him going to the Trojans. No commitment date has been set.

DE Keith Cooper

From Dickinson, Texas, Cooper is considering upwards of six schools though he has at least 30 scholarship offers. UCLA and Arizona State are the top Pac-12 schools for his services as Cal has seemingly dropped out of the race.

ATH Devin Kirkwood

Kirkwood committed to UCLA this summer but backed off that pledge in early December. He has now seen the Bruins lose to USC and has the Trojans as his preferred destination, or so it seems. It’s hard to see Kirkwood not pledging to USC on December 16 when he’s scheduled his commitment.

RB Deshun Murrell

Murrell is announcing his commitment on December 18, 2020 and is said to be choosing at this point between UCLA and Penn State. Of the six predictions that have weighed in on the matter, all but one of them have him heading to UCLA from Alabama.

S Myzel Williams

Williams is from Deland High School in Florida and is one of the top safety prospects in the country. He’s considered a Mississippi State lean at this point but hasn’t given many indications as to where he’ll commit, or also when.
