Golden Nuggets, 10/18: Bears everywhere!

Scrimmage notes, virtual ‘homecoming,’ Cam Bynum and more!

The California Golden Bears held their first football scrimmage of this young training camp this past weekend, but that wasn’t all for your Bears in the news.

We officially got our first look at star secondary player Camryn Bynum, we got to see a full Chase Garbers interview and we were treated to a virtual homecoming, of sorts, on the Pac-12 Network.

Here’s what’s going on around Berkeley.

QB Chase Garbers explained just how he (and his family) are ready for Week 1 of the shortened, altered 2020 season.

Cal’s football Twitter account officially gave us a smiling, very happy Cam Bynum on the practice fields, with of course a perfect song choice.

And then the Cal football team celebrated a Saturday in the fall with some scrimmage action and most importantly, full pads on for the first time in a simulated event this year.

The Pac-12 Network got in on the action this weekend as well — streaming and televising three separate Cal games from years of past.

It may look different than years past — but the Cal football team is back to work on the field.

And here’s the rest of your news from the weekend surrounding your Cal Bears:
