Cal has an outstanding player of the week in the conference for the second week in a row! This time it was Greg Thomas, who earned distinction as the Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week.

Thomas booted in field goals from 32, 44 and 34 yards to help nudge Cal over North Texas. Those field goals proved to be crucial in the final margin of victory as the Mean Green began mounting their comeback and made it very competitive near the end. Thomas has hit seven of his eight field goals so far this season after going 12 of 17 in 2018, and seems to have ensured Cal will have the ability to put points on the scoreboard as long as they drive it far enough into opponent territory.
This is the first time Thomas has taken home Conference Player of the Week honors. Linebacker Evan Weaver took home national and conference player honors for best defensive player of the week against Washington.
