It looks like Cal has filled out another position on the bench beside Coach Fox. It was reported last week that Trent Johnson would be joining his former coaching protege as a member of his staff. It seems as though Fox has now added another assistant coach after spending the weekend at the Final Four in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Coach Chris Harriman was the Associate HC at New Mexico from 2015 to 2019. He was the only hold-over when the Loos underwent a coaching change in 2017. Prior to his stay at New Mexico, Coach Harriman was at Nebraska for three years under HC Tim Miles. He also was an assistant coach under Rick Majerus between 2008 to 2012.
Coach Harriman hails from Sydney, Australia and is known to have strong recruiting ties to international players, specifically Australia and New Zealand.
New Cal head coach Mark Fox is expected to hire New Mexico’s Chris Harriman, per source. Nice addition — with Harriman’s strong overseas ties.
