According to his tweet, McNeill decided to transfer to be closer to his family as he’s from the Houston area; McNeill also took the time to say some positive things about Coach Fox and his vision for the program.
The SMU Mustangs just finished their third year under the leadership of Tim Jankovich, going 15–17 (6–12 AAC). Our former football coach Sonny Dykes is also there leading their football team.
As for the rest of the California Golden Bears, Roman Davis, Juhwan Harris-Dyson, and Connor Vanover have all entered the transfer portal; according to reports, Cal is currently talking to Jordan Brown and Max Hazzard about potentially transferring here.
Best of luck to Darius!
