Cal MBB in the mix for multiple transfers

Incomings?

NCAA Basketball: Nevada at San Diego State Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Bears currently have four players in the transfer portal, and to alleviate that, Mark Fox has contacted other players in the portal as well. The two names that are being linked to the program are former McDonalds All-American and current Nevada F Jordan Brown and UCI Grad Transfer Max Hazzard.

Jordan Brown considered Cal as a potential destination when he was a top 15 player in the 2018 class. Brown ended up choosing Nevada but entered the portal after Eric Musselman left for Arkansas a couple of weeks ago. Brown played in 33 games, averaging 3.0 PPG on 50.6% shooting and 2.1 RPG. He only averaged 10.1 minutes per game for the Wolf Pack. Brown would have to sit 1 to play 3, unless he were to push for a waiver to play immediately.

Max Hazzard was a key player for the Anteaters on their NCAA Tourney bid season along with the upset over Kansas State. Hazzard averaged 12.5 PPG on 41.2% shooting. He shot 38.7% from beyond the arc knocking down 93 3s. Hazzard would be a grad transfer to the Bears after playing 3 seasons at UCI.
