MBB Insta Recap: Cal loses to USC, 89-66

What a disaster.

NCAA Basketball: Southern California at California Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The first half was all USC. They came out shooting well, making five of their first six three-point attempts and dominated on defense against a scattered Cal team. The Bears failed to get good possessions, looking sloppy and unorganized. Cal failed to have good floor spacing and took poor shots. At the half, Bennie Boatwright led the Trojans with 19 points, and for the Bears, three players were tied with seven points.

The second half was a disaster. Cal failed to bring any focus into the second half. It was ugly. On both sides of the floor, their demeanor showed defeat. The struggled to play as a unit all game long, and their effort got worse as the game went on. Bennie Boatwright would lead all scorers with 36 points (10/13 3FG). For the Bears, Justice Sueing would lead with 17 points.
