1ST HALF
The Runnin’ Rebels jumped out to fast start with an 8-0 run in the first 3 minutes of the game. The Bears answered behind some deep shooting by Matt Bradley and Joel Brown. By the first media time out the Bears would fight back to make it 12-13. Cal would take the lead 19-17 by the 10 minute mark. UNLV would then take the lead back 23-21 by the 7:30 mark. The game would go back and forth to the end of the half, with the Rebels leading 40-38 into halftime. The Bears were led by a blistering 15 points on 6-11 shooting with 3-6 from beyond the arc.

2ND HALF
UNLV would start the half with another 8-0 run and the bears with a scoring drought. A Matt Bradley and-1 at the first media break would bring the deficit down to 3. UNLV maintained the lead until the final 3 minutes. The Bears would bring it to within 2 with 1:04 to play. Bears would tie the game after Matt Bradleys two free throws. The Bears would then force a shot clock violation and get the final shot of the game. Paris would miss the floater and OVERTIME WE WENT.
Overtime
Bears would take the lead in overtime behind a three from Kareem South and a baby hook from Andre Kelly. UNLV would answer from a tough lay-up only to have Joel Brown hit Andre with a beautiful assist. Bears would hold a slim one point lead with under 30 seconds to go. Joel Brown would grab the rebound that forced UNLV to start fouling. Matt Bradley would make 2 free throws to extend the lead to 3. UNLV came back to answer running the same high pick and roll they had been running all second half. Bears would get another stop after Bradley went 1 of 2 at the line. Kareem South would make both free throws to ice the game.
