Just one week after five-star Fatou Samb announced her commitment to the California Golden Bears, there are reports that another five-star player wants to play for Charmin Smith!

Ugonne “Michelle” Onyiah is aClass of 2020 6’3” forward, ranked 34th overall and 9th in her position. She attends Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, CA and plays for the Cal Sparks club. Here is an evaluation of her from June 2019:

Athletic interior prospect with a high ceiling; quick in the paint, aggressive on the glass brings emerging offensive arsenal to the paint; superb in transition game; defends in the block; a potential power-5 star.

In her junior season (2018–19), she earned MaxPreps All-State honors and was named to the Southern Section All-Division 2AA Team, Riverside Press-Enterprise All-Area Team, and the All-SoCal Varsity Team after putting the following per-game stats: 14.2 points, 14.7 rebounds, 2 blocks.

Some of the other schools that Onyiah was considering were the Arizona Wildcats, the Florida Gators, the Duke Blue Devils, the Utah Utes, and the Washington State Cougars.

Welcome to Berkeley, Michelle!
