The California Golden Bears host the Oregon State Beavers for our Homecoming game. The game will kick off at 11:30 a.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
Cal wins toss, elects to defer.
FIRST QUARTER
Cal Defense 1st Drive: Zeandae with the sack, loss of 8. Zeandae with a hurry on 3rd down. 3 and out. False start on Punting unit.
Cal Offense 1st Drive: Starts on Cal 35. Marches down the field. Bears run 3 run plays on the OSU 35 on 2/3/4th down and turnover the ball on downs.
Cal Defense 2nd Drive: Goode with a TFL to start the drive. Soft zone gives up the 1st down. Weaver gets the sack on 3rd down to force OSU to punt.
Cal Offense 2nd Drive: Cal starts on own 25. Cal goes 3 and out with an illegal formation penalty on the punt.
Cal Defense 3rd Drive: OSU just marches down the field slow and steady to score the first points of the game on a 7-yard TD pass from Luton to Pierce.
OSU Scoring Drive: 12 plays, 62 yards, 4:30
SECOND QUARTER
Cal Offense 3rd Drive: Cal starts on own 25. Modster sheds a tackle and rushes for 12 and the first down. Sacked on the following play, did not see the blitzing defender at all. Pocket collapses, Modster runs out of the pocket and throws it away.
Cal Defense 4th Drive: Cal forces the 3-and-out.
Cal Offense 4th Drive: Deep ball to Ricky Walker III for 22 yards is complete. Modster no time in the pocket, takes off for a huge gain of 26 yards down to OSU 12. Sack forces him back further. Screen gets blown up with a big time blitz.
Greg Thomas hits the upright on a 39 yard FGA.
Cal Defense 5th Drive: OSU starts on own 22. Weaver with a HUGE SACK, Loss of 8. OSU marches down the field and scores. 4 yard TD pass to Hodgins.
