After a much needed week off, the California Golden Bears return to play the most winnable game left on their schedule for Homecoming against the Oregon State Beavers. Cal is favored by 9.5 points in the opening line according to Vegas Insider. The over/under is set at 53 points.
Oregon State is 2-4, with wins over FCS opponent Cal Poly and 1-5 UCLA. Oregon State also scored a ton against Oklahoma State and managed a late comeback against Stanford before falling on a last-second field goal, but also lost to Hawaii on the isles. The Beavers did face a setback in their most recent game, as they spent Saturday getting decimated by Utah 52-7.
Cal hasn’t had a ton of trouble with Oregon State in the past, winning by 14 in his first season and dismantling the Beavers by 42 in his second season. But Cal is playing with a ton of injuries on offense, will likely be starting the adjusting Devon Modster for the second game in a row at quarterback. Can’t really take any game for granted. The Bears will hopefully come out ready and hungry to stop a two-game losing streak and place themselves one step closer to their second winning season in a row.
