In this video, I look at Oregon’s playcalling and sequencing with a study of their “Trips Closed” formation. This is a representative formation for the Ducks, as it was only used a handful of times, but never with the same play. When the offense uses a bunch of different formations, and rarely runs the same thing out of any of them, it makes it hard for the defense to lock onto tendencies and to predict what’s coming.
