One of the stronger linebacker recruits on the west coast committed to the Bears today as the Cal football 2019 class continues to form. The early results on this class are overwhelmingly positive and mark Blake Antzoulatos down as a player to watch over the next few years.

Antzoulatos selected Cal over Vanderbilt, Illinois and Utah and he specifically mentioned having a strong relationship with one of our newer recruiting wizards, Peter Sirmon.

Blake is a player that can dominate all over the field and figures to thrive in the Tim DeRuyter system. He is an effective pass rusher, incredible tackler and excels in pass coverage. It is hard to imagine wanting much else from a linebacker and on top of all of that he highly values academics. He won defensive player of the year* last year and would be a good candidate to bump up to four stars by the end of the 2018 season. Check out some of his high school tape below:

Cal fans, what are your thoughts on our new linebacker? Go Bears!
