A huge accomplishment for the Cal baseball star

Andrew Vaughn, no relation to Mo Vaughn, was announced as the Pac-12 player of the year today for 2018 college baseball season. The star infielder has been on an offensive tear all season long just one year after winning freshman of the year. He tied the Cal all-time home run mark held by Xavier Nady (pictured above) and his season numbers look like something out of a video game.

For the 2018 season Andrew Vaughn finished with a .402 average*, 23 homers, 63 RBI and 160* total bases. He also had a near perfect fielding percentage only making one error on 29 plays.

Join me in giving Andrew a big congratulations on another monster year as a Golden Bear. Go Bears!
