Well if recruiting Michigan graduate transfers is a Cal football objective this offseason the Bears are delivering in spades so far this spring. The Bears landed their second Michigan graduate transfer in the form of tight end Ian Bunting who will be eligible to play this fall.

Bunting saw a lot of time in 2016, particularly in two tight-end sets which is probably how Cal will utilize him as well. His playing time however dropped off precipitously in 2017.

Bunting has a size-able frame at 6’7, 252 and should match up well in the run game against the bigger bodies on the LA schools.

As a bit of a fun fact, Ian has a budding musical career which you can get a taste for below:

Watch out Cam Saffle!

Looks like he will fit in perfectly with the Bears. Welcome to Cal Ian!
