When Justin Wilcox was introduced as the Cal football coach he touched on one particular subject that stood out to many Cal fans. The re-emergence of a tight end. Well the future looks very bright with the newest commitment for the Bears in tight end Elijah Mojarro.

Check out his junior year tape below:

His measurable’s jump off the page at 6’4, 225. That is one big high schooler. A few gut reactions from his tape:

-He is exactly what you would want from a big tight end. A force as a blocker and has solid hands as a receiver

-1:33 mark, solid block to seal the edge and he allows the running back get to the outside. Very easy to see that translate to our scheme at Cal

-He beats the opposing linebackers on go routes several times, utilizing his speed and height for big gains downfield

Everyone give a big Cal welcome to Elijah! Go Bears!
