The California Golden Bears have offered 3-Star 7 foot 3 center Connor Vanover out of Findlay Prep in Nevada. He would be another 7-footer in the lineage of recent 7-Foot Cal centers. Vanover was a Memphis signee but after the firing of Tubby Smith, he asked to be let out of his LOI. Vanover would be an immediate impact player in a front court that lacks some size. The guy has some solid tape: can run the floor decently well, has a perimeter shot to stretch the floor, blocks/alters a lot of shots with his length. The question remains whether he can defend the quicker and stronger F/C in the Pac-12.
What do you think of the offer? Do you think he would be a good addition to the roster? Let us know in the comments below!
