The Bears maintained a competitive fire throughout the entire first half. Cal started out focused on offense and defense, forcing tough shots, making transition buckets, getting turnovers, basically doing everything that Wyking wants our MO to be. Cal scored 26 points, of their 35, in the paint. Justice Sueing led the Bears with 10 points on 5-8 shooting. The Bears also only committed 4 turnovers in the half, while forcing 3 through steals.

The Bears kept it close until the final 4 minutes after a 4 point swing made it a 6 point game. Cal only had 4 turnovers at the half, they had 8 in the second. They also only made 10 more points in the paint after scoring 26 in the paint in the first half. Cal was led by Justice Sueing who ended with 17 points on 8-13 shooting with 5 rebounds. The team played tough all game and now we move on to the PAC-12 Tournament next weekend in Las Vegas.
