On the first day of spring practice the Cal Bears received their first round of good news in what figures to be a strong recruiting class for 2019. Zahran Manley, a three star defensive back from Upland, California committed to the Bears today.

There is a lot to like about Manley including his size (6’2) and speed. The Cal coaching staff has continued to put an emphasis on a bigger players at defensive back and Manley furthers that trend. Lastly, chalk one up for the closer himself, Gerald Alexander, who had a big role in Manley pulling the trigger.
Welcome to Cal Zahran!
