I admit that even though I knew I’d get an extra hour of sleep on Saturday thanks to the end of daylight saving time, I didn’t even watch the first quarter of the Cal–Wazzu game when it was airing live. I watched a little more of the UCLA–Oregon and USC–OSU games before calling it a night and watching the Cal game in its entirety this morning. I’d like to watch another Cal game live in its entirety this season, but that’s not going to happen this week because we’re featured in another iteration of Pac-12 After Dark. I suppose it’s fitting to play in the dark, as we are all intimately familiar with darkness thanks to our FIFTEEN-YEAR LOSING STREAK to the Trojans.

USC is struggling in ways that are unprecedented to their blessed fans. Forced to start true-freshman QB JT Daniels early on, they then lost him for a few games due to concussion. Under pressure to make improvements, head coach Clay Helton dismissed offensive line coach Neil Callaway and assumed play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Tee Martin—who then made a very passive-aggressive and very 2018 move of changing his Twitter profile.
Uh...huh...Clay Helton says Tee Martin was supportive of Helton's decision to take over play-calling duties...

That's why, as @keelyismyname noticed, Tee Martin stripped his Twitter bio of USC references. (before & after pics) pic.twitter.com/ZgUutLH0uF
All this to say that this may be our best chance to beat USC in quite some time, so tune in at 7:30 p.m. Pacific on ESPN.
