The California Golden Bears have one of their newest offers out. Could it also be their newest commitment?
Tulare running back Kazmier Allen got the offer this past week. Cal is still searching for their first running back in this class (Omari Harris, originally a running back commit, is expected to play at linebacker for Cal), and Allen could provide the Golden Bear offense with another needed infusion of speed.

Allen made his original commitment to Boise State in June, but after the Cal offer came last week it appeared he was ready to reconsider other places. Allen reopened his recruitment soon after.

Ryan Gorcey seems to think this puts Cal in the lead for Allen.
Received his #Cal offer recently. Said he'd have to seriously consider it, given that Bears are his dream program https://t.co/qPJykNLLQo https://t.co/UoQjt37RO7

Also in the running at this point appear to be Boise State, Arizona and Oregon State, who have also recently offered.
Allen currently is ranked as the 18th best all-purpose back and the 88th best California prospect, according to 247Sports Composite. A look at his Hudl tape.
