Cal basketball alum Sam Singer wins gold with Team USA and signs with an Israeli pro team

What has the former Golden Bear Been up to?

Let’s take a look and see what some of our recent Golden Bear graduates have been up to this summer.

Although California Golden Bears basketball alum Sam Singer did not participate in the NBA draft, he has remained busy elsewhere on the court and has quite a bit of success. Singer signed a three-year deal with Bnei Herzliya, a team in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.

Not satisfied with just signing a contract to play overseas, Singer also helped Team USA bring home in the World Maccabiah Games. In six games Singer averaged just over 9 points per game and posted a 20 point game against Canada and a 12 point game in the final against France.

Singer joins Ivan Rabb, Jabari Bird, and Stephen Domingo as one of four Bears to sign professional contracts this summer.

What do you think about Singer’s recent string of successes? Let us know in the comments.
