Can Cal land another local recruit? Mountain View DT Tyler Manoa puts Bears in top 4

Go Bears!

Tyler Manoa

Cal already has three defensive lineman commits in this class. Why not a fourth?

Mountain View (Ca.) defensive tackle Tyler Manoa released his top four this past week, and the local California Golden Bears made the cut. Also on the list: The UCLA Bruins, the Utah Utes, and the Arizona Wildcats.

Manoa is ranked as the 40th best defensive tackle overall and the 64th best prospect in the state of California. Take a look at his Hudl highlight reel, and you can assess his next-level capabilities.

With the Bears preparing for a new future that will be more defensively-focused. Cal has three local commits already on defensive line. Nick Alftin hails from San Jose, Atonio Mafi is a San Mateo product, and JH Tevis comes from Atherton.

Justin Wilcox is proving that you can find good local players in the Bay Area, recruit them, and keep them home and in the Golden Bear fold.
