The California Golden Bears are back in session, not just on the football field, but in the classroom. Fall semester began this week at UC Berkeley.
It seems more and more like the university is doing a good job of promoting school spirit early on. Take a look at what a bunch of our newest Bears did at California Memorial Stadium tonight.
It’s a Big C! One could say, the Biggest C!
Give me a....C!

7,196 Cal students got together and formed the largest human letter in recorded world history. The Guinness Book of World Records were on hand to officially give the credit to our new group of UC Berkeley students.
JUST IN: World record @UCBerkeley. 7, 196 students create 'largest human letter'. Reps from @GWR on hand to authenticate. #Cal https://t.co/S3xElot9MP

It’s really cool to see the university put time and effort into these sort of activities to hopefully create school spirit and camaraderie. For much of our lifetime, Cal has been sorely lacking in this department. Here’s hoping efforts like these are a step in the right direction.
The old record holders were from the University of Tennessee.
Ten years, Cal beat Tennessee.
Shall we end the season now?
