The busy weekend continues for Cal. The California Golden Bears have another commitment for the 2018 recruiting class this week. Miles Owens started the trend , Will Craig and Evan Tattersall kept it going on Saturday, and Chigozie Anusiem continues it. Anusiem made his commitment to Cal, and becomes Cal’s first defensive back commit this cycle.

Anusiem held offers from Arizona, Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington State, as well as Army. A three-star prospect from 247Composite, Anusiem is considered the 86th best safety in the nation and the 100th best prospect out of the state of California.
Here’s a look at his Hudl tape.
Cal is starting to go hard for prospects at position of need, as offensive line and the secondary are two big places where the Bears need bodies in future season. Wilcox getting the players he wants there will be critical.
Cal continues its run of keeping their commitments in-state, as every Bear who has verballed for the 2018 class under Justin Wilcox hails from the golden state. Make California Great Again!
Welcome to Cal Chigozie! Go Bears!
