The California Golden Bears keep a busy recruiting weekend going with another commitment. This one comes in the form of Granite Bay offensive lineman Will Craig, who immediately becomes the best recruit in the 2018 Cal recruiting class. Craig visited Berkeley this weekend and made the call for the blue and gold.

It’s Cal’s second offensive line commit of the week, as Craig joins Bishop O’Dowd offensive tackle Miles Owens. Craig holds tons of Pac-12 offers plus Notre Dame, as Cal beat out Oregon, Washington, Colorado, UCLA, Arizona, Washington State, and Nebraska for his commitment. Craig also had an offer from Yale.
Craig is a four-star prospect according to 247Sports (0.9067) and is ranked as the 269th overall prospect in this class. He’s a top-20 offensive tackle prospect and the 33rd best prospect in the state of California. With Cal’s lack of depth at offensive line, every commitment at this position is vital.
Here’s his tape from last season.
The theme of California (and more importantly, local California) remains strong in this recruiting class. All of Cal’s commits are from California, and around two-thirds hail from the Bay Area and Northern California.
Welcome to Cal Will! Go Bears!
