Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze resigns

Big changes for Cal’s September 16th opponent.

Things are a’changing in the college football world and its ripples will directly affect the California Golden Bears.

Hugh Freeze—the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels—has resigned from the school amid controversy. Freeze has been linked to calls to an escort service with university property dating back to 2012.

Matt Luke—co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach—will serve as the interim head coach.

The Rebels are set to visit Berkeley on September 16 and former Cal wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler is serving the same role for Ole Miss. Let’s see how this news affects Cal and our contest.
