Like father, like son? Mayan Ahanotu took a trip up to Berkeley with his dad Chidi this past Father’s Day weekend. Could he potentially follow in his footsteps to become another Golden Bear?
This Father's Day, read about someone who visited #Cal with his dad, legacy DE Mayan Ahanotuhttps://t.co/rhNoCgKA6C

For those of you too young to remember Chidi Ahanotu, he grew up in Berkeley, playing both rugby and football at Berkeley High. Ahanotu walked onto the California Golden Bears football team, earned a scholarship, then became the full-time starter at defensive end in his final three seasons, eventually earning all Pac-12 honors. Ahanotu was drafted in 1993 and went on to a long and productive career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, racking up 34.5 sacks in eight seasons and 46.5 sacks, 436 tackles, and seven fumble recoveries overall in his NFL career.
Mayan is following in his footsteps as a defensive end. Check out his video tape!
