The California Golden Bears don’t yet have a wide receiver commit in this class. It’s not a big priority. But it can’t at all hurt to find someone in that area.
Perhaps they can get it in the form of Sacramento (Ca.) Inderkum athlete Isaah Crocker. Crocker released his top eight, and it included Cal. Also listed: The Oregon Ducks, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Utah Utes, UCLA Bruins, Oregon State Beavers, USC Trojans, and Nebraska Cornhuskers.

That is a formidable list. But Cal might have a leg up in two specific areas:
- He’s a local kid, and Cal has made local recruiting a huge priority.
- Crocker grew up watching Cal, and has a lot of fond memories with the Bears.
It’s unclear if all of that will give Cal the advantage they need to get Crocker. Cal has a glut of wide receivers right now from the Bear Raid era, which could dissuade many top wideouts from picking the Bears. But if we’re going to have a shot with any of the top wide receivers in the West, Crocker is probably the guy most likely to choose blue and gold.
