California Golden Bears quarterback and alumnus Zach Kline was picked up by the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL this offseason! In his first preseason start, he went bombs away for a touchdown, going 90 yards deep (remember CFL fields are 110 yards long when watching the video).
Not too bad for your first throw in the CFL...

Kline has had a winding road. He battled for the starting job in 2013, lost to Jared Goff, transferred to Butte College to spend a year in junior college, then transferred to Indiana State, returned to Cal to get his degree, and then finished his collegiate time at Fresno State. We wish him the best of luck on his professional journey!
