Cal in the mix for two 4-star Guards

We could definitely use the help.

NCAA Basketball: Rice at California John Hefti-USA TODAY Sports

The Bears are looking to add depth to their current one point guard roster. Coach Wyking Jones wants to run an uptempo offense and a pressing defense so guard depth will be key in playing that style. Two recruits the Bears are going after may alleviate some of the depth issues. 4-Star G Eric Ayala and 4-Star G Jordan Walker are currently in the class of 2018, but could possibly reclassify to 2017.

First up guard Jordan Walker, he's currently rated as the 91st overall prospect by Rivals and given a 4-star rating. He measures in at 6-foot and 150 pounds. Judging from this article on Rivals, it seems as though he graduates from HS this spring and is deciding between going to prep school or joining a college team.

Next up is 4-star guard Eric Ayala. Eric has a very extensive list of offers from some powerhouse basketball schools, and thats not surprising. The 6-5 guard is rated as the #1 prospect in the state of Connecticut and the 15th best shooting guard in the country. He states in the first video that he is contemplating whether or not to reclassify. The only question is, is whether or not he holds an offer from Cal. He mentions the Bears in the second video but not when he is listing off his offers in the first.

The Bears definelty need help at either guard positions and these two guys would be welcome additions to a depleted roster. What do you think of the potential additions Bears fans? How should the open scholarship spot be handled? Let us know in the comments below.
