Marshawn Lynch will get to play in the Bay Area as both a professional and a collegiate player.
The Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks have reached a deal that will bring Beast Mode back to the Bay Area, contingent on the physical. The Seahawks will receive Oakland’s fifth and sixth round picks for the 2018 NFL Draft. Marshawn Lynch is expected to sign a two year deal with the Raiders, so you can expect to get at least see Lynch on a football sideline through the 2018 season.
Good news for California Golden Bears fans is this should keep Marshawn close to his Bay Area roots, and hopefully around the football program on a regular basis for the near future. And of course, Cal fans who are also Raiders fans have to be doubly enthusiastic.
