Good news for Cal fans. The speculation around Kameron Rooks seem to be just speculation. Rooks is still an active member of the California Golden Bears basketball team and looks like he will play his final year of eligibility in Berkeley.
Kameron Rooks has not requested release from Cal, per source. Continues to attend workouts/practices and remains active member of the team. https://t.co/als4Zb4mcD

The Bears are now in an interesting situation where two of the three players who saw active minutes play the same position. Kingsley Okoroh and Rooks are both centers and are unlikely to ever see the floor together. The only other major contributor returning is Don Coleman.
Marcus Lee is expected to take over Ivan Rabb’s minutes, Roman Davis will be a fixture of the rotation. The three new freshmen should also get involved. Juhwan Harris-Dyson and Justice Sueing will get major minutes as the wings, Grant Anticevich will probably be pressed into action.
For those wondering about where our former Bears have landed, Jemarl Baker found a nice situation for himself—he’s headed to Lexington to play for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats.

As for Charlie Moore, he’ll be closer to home to be with his ailing father, and get the chance to play for a marquee program in the Kansas Jayhawks.
