It’s obviously bittersweet for Cal fans, but congrats to Jordan Mathews for making a huge shot in the Sweet 16 to help lift the Gonzaga Bulldogs over the West Virginia Mountaineers and into the Elite Eight on Saturday night. Mathews is a Cal alum who did a lot for the Bears over the years, and we’re happy to see him get a chance to succeed in March.
Obviously, it stinks that we can’t totally share in it. But Mathews has worked very hard and earned his Cal degree. He made a good decision for his college basketball career as he now has a chance to compete for a national title.
Jordan Mathews had the Sr moment he deserves & I'm happy for him & it kills me that he had it somewhere else & that we can't fully share it
