Four-star cornerback Kyler Gordon wants to visit Cal

Big!

Platinum Graphix

Cal is going to need its fair share of defensive backs in this recruiting class. One interested prospect is one of the best cornerbacks on the West Coast.

Kyler Gordon out of Everett (Wa.) at Archbishop Murphy is very interested in taking a trip down the coast to Berkeley for Junior Day.

Gordon is ranked as the 25th best cornerback by 247Sports Composite and the second best prospect out of the state of Washington (four-stars, 0.9020). Obviously, being from the state of Washington, you can guess the Huskies are very likely the favorite in this race. But other major programs (Stanford, Oregon, Notre Dame, Nebraska, TCU, UCLA, Utah) have also extended offers.

Cal will be in need of cornerbacks next season. Marloshawn Franklin and Darius Allensworth are both graduating, and the depth behind those two is very tentative at best and mostly freshman heavy. Landing another young target like Gordon could be imperative.

Take a look at Gordon’s highlights. What do you think of him as a prospect?
