Selection Sunday live chat: Cal projected as an NIT 1 seed against Boise State

NIT teams will be selected on Sunday night

According to Bracket Matrix, Cal basketball is likely to have at least one more home game this season. That would come as part of the National Invitational Tournament. The website projects that the Boise State Broncos will visit Haas Pavilion as an 8 seed with the Bears as a 1 seed. Syracuse, Georgia, and Illinois State are the other 1 seeds in that expected bracket. Bracket Matrix has the Bears as their seventh team out of the NCAA Tournament field.

The NIT championship games will be played on March 28 and 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. ESPNU will be televising the bracket release at 5:30 PM PT on Sunday.
