Cal offers Mountain View DT Tyler Manoa soon after his visit

Go Bears!

Tyler Manoa

Cal’s most pertinent rebuild job will have to come along the defensive front seven. The Bears are very short on long term defensive line depth at the moment, as the last few recruiting classes from Sonny Dykes came up short on stocking the coffers at the position. Cal is also looking to rebound in the Bay Area and start landing prospects nearby on a more regular basis.

Tyler Manoa could help solve both of those categories. Manoa is a product of Mountain View (Ca.) who plays for St. Francis. He visited Cal recently on an unofficial, and got the Cal offer soon thereafter.

Manoa is a three-star defensive tackle according to 247Composite (0.8389), is ranked as the 52nd best defensive tackle and the 83rd best prospect in California. Manoa holds offers from BYU, Minnesota, San Jose State and Utah. Manoa had a commitment from BYU but has since decided to reopen the recruiting process.

Here are the Hudl highlights. What do you think of Manoa as a potential prospect?
