Bill Walton: “Cal should be in. Joe Lunardi is living in a tunnel.”

Currently, almost all bracketology has Cal sitting on the outside of the bubble as we head toward Friday night’s critical Pac-12 tournament matchup with Oregon.

Joe Lunardi’s bracketology in the Thursday night hours has Cal sitting on the wrong side of the bubble at the moment. Lunardi has Cal in his first four out, which definitely puts the Bears in at least the waiting game come Selection Sunday. But Cal would probably only feel pretty good about their chances with a win Friday night against Oregon—beating the Ducks would provide Cal with their best chance for a signature win, and beat out the resume of almost every other bubble team.

Bill Walton is having none of this though. Cal should be in, right now, because Lunardi lives in the darkness while the Conference of Champions has the Sunrise Mountains, Zion National Park, Death Valley, and this is where life is, and well, listen...

It really is too bad Bill didn’t end up in Berkeley. He does tend to fit in perfectly here, doesn’t he?
