Nine Bears Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

BERKELEY – The Cal men's water polo team continues to earn recognition for its work outside the pool as nine Golden Bears have been awarded All-Academic honors by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACPWC).

In the midst of a national-title run during the fall of 2016, Cal water polo players took care of business in the classroom as well and that yielded more than just individual honors. The Bears also earned distinction as a team thanks to a 3.05 collective GPA that made Cal one of just two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) teams to earn a team honor.

Cal Returns To National Indoors to Defend Title

BERKELEY – California returns to the tournament that produced one of the greatest glories in program history when the Golden Bears start play in the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship on Friday in New Haven, Connecticut. The Golden Bears, who have a 3-0 record this season, are in a field of 16 teams vying for this year's title.

The Bears are coming off of a 7-0 rout at San Diego State on Sunday. Originally a two-match southern California road trip, the trip was shortened to one when Cal's Feb. 3 match at No. 3 Pepperdine was cancelled due to rain.
