Despite earlier reports that he would be returning to the California Golden Bears for his final season, it looks as though Aaron Cochran has changed his mind and will be grad-transferring for his final season of eligibility.

Based on the timing of the previous report and this announcement, it’s possible that the firing of Sonny Dykes and OL coach Brandon Jones played a role in Cochran’s decision.
Head coach Justin Wilcox released this statement:
“We thank Aaron Cochran for the contributions he made during his four years with the Cal football program and congratulate him for being on track to earn a Cal degree in May. We wish him the best in his future endeavors both on and off the field.”
