Justin Wilcox has made it clear that Bay Area recruiting will be a priority going forward. One potential target locally is right down the highway from Cal in Oakland (Ca.) Bishop O’Dowd safety Jevon Holland, and he just received the Cal offer.
God is great‼️ Honored to say that I've received my 7th offer from Cal Berkeley University #GoBears pic.twitter.com/DFqHb2zr9I

Holland is rated as a four-star wide receiver by Scout and a three-star defensive back by Rivals. It appears he’s being recruited for defense more than offense based on a previous Rivals interview.
At 6'1 and 182, Holland doesn't have a preference where he plays on defense, he just wants to play.
"To be honest with you I don't have a preference," Holland said. "I'll play corner or safety but its the goal to get the ball in my hands."
In that interview, Holland mentioned a top three of Boise State, Arizona and UCLA, who all offered early on. Holland also holds offers from Nevada, San Jose State and Utah State. He’s also interested in Washington, so watch out there if he gets an early offer.
Check out his video highlights from Hudl. Holland registered 50 tackles, 1084 all-purpose yards, and 13 touchdowns in his junior campaign playing on both sides of the football.
Cal fans, thoughts on what you see from Holland?
