Poutasi Poutasi faxed in his letter of intent to become a California Golden Bear! The big offensive lineman gives Cal some steadiness up front. Poutasi was Cal’s first commit in the Justin Wilcox era after taking his official visit to Berkeley.

At 6’3 and 275/280 pounds, the Las Vegas (Nv.) Desert Pines prospect is a three-star offensive guard (0.8478), ranked as the 43rd best offensive guard and the 11th best prospect out of Nevada. Poutasi was originally committed to Louisville before reopening his recruitment. He held offers from numerous Mountain West programs, Utah, and took trips to Ole Miss and Auburn.
Here are his video highlights.
The thing that stands out about Poutasi is his physicality in his blocks. He attacks, he’s hard, and he’s tough to get past. It’s not just his run blocking where he’s capable; he’s proven to have quick feet and keep himself on the move in pass blocking for his quarterback.
Welcome to Cal Poutasi! Go Bears!
Unfortunately, it looks like Poutasi’s mother is hospitalized today. Let’s wish them the best!
