Cal gets their first tight end of the last several years in the form of Gavin Reinwald! The Elk Grove (Ca.) prospect faxed in his letter of intent to become a California Golden Bear!

A 6’2.5 212 pound prospect, Reinwald holds offers from Air Force, Army, and a host of Mountain West programs like San Jose State, Nevada, Hawaii, Wyoming. Reinwald was originally a Hawaii commit before making the flip this weekend. Reinwald is ranked as a two-star prospect (0.7682) at wideout, but Cal is planning on using him as a tight end, where he is definitely going to be far more intimidating.

Let’s take a look at his tape.
Reinwald is big, physical and someone that is tough to bring down. But more importantly he has mobility for his size and can catch quite well at that size. He could be the first of hopefully many tight ends for the Bears.
Welcome to Cal Gavin! Go Bears!
