Cal legacy Nick Ford became a big target for the Bears early in the process, but he will not be joining the Bears. The offensive lineman from San Pedro is headed to Utah. It appears the Utes are giving him the chance to play defense, which eventually gave them the edge.

With Casey Roddick picking Colorado and Nick Ford picking Utah, Cal will likely finish with two offensive line commits in this class in Poly Bowl teammates Mike Saffell and Poutasi Poutasi.
